McFun for Westview McTeacher's

On Thursday, December 4th, Westview School PTO held a McTeacher's Night at the new McDonald's at 630 N. Route 83 in Bensenville. Teachers took over the restaurant serving up delicious meals to students and families to raise money for the school PTO. Many teachers worked very hard including McPrincipal Buttimer, who was busy tweeting out pics to the families. The McTeacher jobs included; drive-thru , greeters, cleaning the lobby, front counter, clearing tables, and serving ice cream. Teachers working included: Debbie Diaz, Stacy Meiner, Erin King, Andrea Donahoe, Eleni Papanicolaou, Melissa Serrano, Esmeralda Ojeda, Glorai Dotson, Rachel Weichenhain and MargeThomka. There were even teachers singing for tips. Westview McTeachers had it all covered, and the families all had a great time. The School plans to use the money raised to go into a fund for future programming and to possibly go towards some improvements to the playground. Lots of students, teachers, families and friends came out to support the school. The mayor of Wood Dale, Mayor Pulice, even stopped in to support Westview School. All the kids came to see their teachers work at the new Bensenville McDonald's. A special appearance by Ronald McDonald helped make this fundraiser a memorable evening. Special thank you goes to Westview PTO President, Frannie Hargadon, who organized the entire event. It was a great night! Ronald McDonald's appearance was courtesy of the Bensenville McDonald's owner/operator, Dennis Stabile.
