Hawks stage come-from-behind 4-3 win over Habs

The last time the Blackhawks and Canadiens met, the Hawks simply took it to the Habs. Montreal left town after a 5-0 pasting.

They knew better than to expect the same when Montreal invaded the United Center on Friday night.

And they couldn't have been more right because the Canadiens came to play and gave the Hawks everything they could handle before Brandon Saad scored the game-winner with 27 seconds left for a thrilling 4-3 victory.

Michal Rozsival opened the scoring two minutes into the game when he took a cross-circle pass from Bryan Bickell and buried one past Canadiens goaltender Carey Price.

A second-effort goal from Ben Smith late in the period had the UC rocking and the Hawks ahead 2-0.

But less than a minute later, Brendan Gallagher cut the lead in half, beating Antti Raanta and quieting the sold-out house.

It was the first of three straight Montreal goals and the score remained 3-2 until early in the third when Jonathan Toews scored on the power play to tie the game. It was Toews' 11th goal of the season
