Chicago man arrested in DuPage with 1,100 Ecstasy pills

The DuPage County sheriff yesterday announced the arrest of a suspected Chicago gang member who police say had sold them more than 1,000 Ecstasy pills. Erol Abdiu, of the 3900 block of Belmont in Chicago, was arrested and charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, and he could face up to 40 years in jail if convicted, according to a news release from Sheriff John Zaruba. Pedestrian hit by car in Lake Villa

The Lake County sheriff's office is investigating a car-vs.-pedestrian accident that injured a man on Route 59 in Lake Villa last night. The male pedestrian was talking and conscious at the scene, but was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. Full story.

Police investigate Libertyville hit-and-run

The Lake County sheriff's office is investigating a hit-and-run crash that happened near I-94 in Libertyville last night. Police responded to a crash at Route 176 and I-94 around 6:12 p.m. and found one vehicle with an injured driver on the scene, but the other had driven away, Sgt. George Love said. Full story.

Bears no match for Cowboys

The defense couldn't stop the run or the pass. The offense couldn't move the ball with any consistency until it was too late.
