Carpentersville VFW offers Queen of Hearts raffle
The Carpentersville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5915 hosts a "Queen of Hearts" every Sunday at the post home, 301 Lake Marion Road in Carpentersville.
Tickets are on sale at the canteen. The drawing is held 3 p.m. sharp every Sunday.
The winner can then choose a number on the jackpot board.
Tickets for the following week begin the Tuesday after the drawing. They also hold "Light-N-ing" which is held Tuesdays at 8 p.m. The bigger the group, the better the winnings.
These are fundraisers so all veterans and supporters of veterans are welcome. It is a nonprofit organization and all proceeds go to helping veterans and the community. For details, call the post home at (847) 428-4836. The VFW Post also has video gaming machines.
