No. 25 DePaul women beat Butler 92-76

CHICAGO - Brittany Hrynko scored 28 points and Jessica January added 23 to lead No. 25 DePaul over Butler 92-76 on Wednesday.

Hrynko made 9 of 11 shots from the field, including 7 of 8 from 3-point range, for DePaul (5-2, 1-0 Big East Conference). She also had eight rebounds and six assists. Megan Rogowski added 14 points and Chanise Jenkins 12 for the Blue Demons.

Belle Obert led Butler (1-7, 0-1) with 16 points, 14 coming in the first half. Ijeoma Uchendu scored 15, Blaire Langlois and Sydney Buck had 14 apiece, and Loryn Goodwin added 11.

Butler led 47-41 at halftime, but Hrynko hit back-to-back 3 pointers and Rogowski added another during DePaul's 18-6 run to open the second half to take a 59-53 lead.

Uchendu pulled Butler within 74-69 with 6:12 left but DePaul answered with a 16-0 run, highlighted by 3-pointers by Hrynko and January, to take a 21-point lead.
