Shanahan, Conant edge Buffalo Grove

Conant senior Bridget Shanahan took top honors on vault and floor exercise to help the visiting Cougars edge Buffalo Grove 132.4-127.3 in Mid-Suburban League girls gymnastics on Wednesday.

Shanahan won vault with an 8.4, floor exercise with an 8.8 and also placed second on balance beam (9.1).

Junior Diandra Duenser was a force for Buffalo Grove, winning uneven parallel bars with an 8.6 and getting the top all-around score as well (34.2). She also finished top-three on balance beam (third, 9.0) and floor exercise (second, 8.5).

Conant junior Ally Kelly won balance beam (9.2) and finished third on both vault (8.3) and bars (8.1).

The Cougars also got high finishes from Isabella Ostrowski on vault (second, 8.3) and floor (third, 8.3) and Bailey Bloom (second on bars, 8.4).
