Santa coming to Round Lake Beach:
Santa and his real reindeer will visit the Round Lake Beach Civic & Cultural Center from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, for the Round Lake Area Chamber of Commerce annual scholarship fundraiser. Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for children, with $1 off with a donation of a nonperishable food item or new toy. Photos with Santa and his reindeer, as well as free kids crafts and raffles, are part of the event. The center is off Hook Drive west of Route 83 behind Regal Cinemas. Call (847) 546-2002.
