Liberalism won't get us closer to prosperity

After reading Mr. Jim Peterson's Nov. 23 comment, I am amazed at how anyone can believe the liberal talking points and all this global warming information put out by the left. Does it feel like we are in global warming? We have record cold winters. All the info coming out contradicts global warming.

His remarks are that of a narrow-minded liberal who only listens to MSNBC and other liberal garbage. No wonder Illinois is in such a mess with so many people not taking the time to find out if these liberal talking points are true and factual or stretching the information to fit the liberal agenda.

I found the election of Bruce Rauner a breath of fresh air for Illinois. Look where all this liberal thought has taken Illinois. How could the re-election of Gov. Pat Quinn be anything but another blow to the dagger that is in Illinois heart? Have unemployment and poverty in Illinois done anything but get worse? People are leaving in droves. More people are coming illegally to Illinois to increase our state debt even more and take more jobs. Taxes just keep going higher, and the middle class is slowly disappearing.

I have not had a pay raise in years. I am a retired Navy veteran who possesses job skills. I have lived all over the world, and people everywhere are seeking prosperity, freedom and happiness. Liberalism does not provide any of that and in fact takes away from it.
