College of DuPage new student orientation Jan. 13

College of DuPage will welcome new students during two orientation sessions on Tuesday, Jan. 13, in the Health and Science Center, Room 1234, on the ollege's main campus, 425 Fawell Blvd., in Glen Ellyn.

A session for traditional age students will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. A session for students age 21 and over will be held from 6 to 8 p.m.

"This comprehensive program introduces our students to the College, its programs and the tremendous number of assistance and services we have in place to ensure their success while attending College of DuPage," said COD Board Chairman Erin Birt. "In addition to receiving a tour of our stunning campus, the hundreds of students who attend these sessions have an opportunity to meet with faculty and current students, which is a perfect way to start their journey here at COD."

These free sessions will provide an opportunity for new students and their parents to learn about college life; meet with faculty, staff and current students; tour the campus; and receive input on making the most of their educational experience at College of DuPage.

Attendees will learn about important topics, including Financial Aid, Student Life and Student Services, as well as information on how to use the Blackboard course management software and where to find assistance.

Complimentary refreshments will be served during each session.

Prospective attendees should meet with an advisor and register for spring classes before attending the New Student Orientation.
