Jon Conover to release new three song EP and launch Songwriter Series
Chicago singer/songwriter Jon Conover, recorded three new original songs at Reba McEntire's Starstruck Studios in Nashville, Tenn., this September.
Jon Conover coproduced and performed acoustic guitar and vocals on the tracks and now, after a lot of hard work, the songs are ready to be released on Tuesday, Dec. 2.
Conover plans to release the songs digitally on his website during the first week of December, at CDBaby.com and iTunes.
Jon and his team will also be releasing an official music video for the title track, "Keep Believing," as well as a promotional video for Taylor Guitars, both of which were filmed and produced by Andrew Young of Andrew Young Photography located in St. Charles.
The new videos will be available on YouTube shortly after the release of the new songs.
Jon will be promoting his new songs and supporting his fellow singer/songwriters at EvenFlow in Geneva, beginning on Sunday, Dec. 21.
Along with performing his own music Conover has always had a passion for supporting other artists, especially original songwriters. Jon has hosted open mic nights at several locations, was the general manager of a theater that supported original music, and often helps his fellow performers book gigs and collaborates with them at various events.
Jon has not scheduled an official EP release party in Illinois yet, but he is planning a Nashville release at the world famous Bluebird Café in March 2015.
As part of the new monthly Singer/Songwriter Original Music Series, on Sunday, Dec. 21, starting at 5 p.m. Jon Conover and other nationally/regionally/locally touring artists will be performing their own original music at EvenFlow, 302 W State St. in Geneva.
Jon's friends Alyse Black from Austin, Texas, Jennifer Fletcher of Chicago, and Marco Saporito of Yorkville, will be joining him at EvenFlow performing their own sets from 5 to 8 p.m.
Alyse Black
Alyse Black started out belting Billie Holiday tunes a cappella on the streets of Pike Place Market in Seattle. Since then, she has performed on Seattle's NPR station, recorded a commercial for Target, moved to Austin, won Billboard's Annual Songwriting Contest, had several songs placed in movies and TV shows, and toured the country playing over 600 clubs, theaters, festivals, television shows and radio stations.
She recently won The Recording Conservatory of Austin's Top Singer-Songwriter Contest and ran a successful Kickstarter to fund her long-awaited next album.
Alyse is currently recording her self-titled re-debut album with producer, Eric Rosse (Maroon 5, Gavin DeGraw, and Chris Isaak, as well as the breakthrough records of Sara Barielles, Tori Amos, and Anna Nalick), and drummer, Matt Chamberlain (Sarah McLachlan, Alanis Morissette, Jewel, and many, many more of the best artists out there).

Jennifer Fletcher

Marco Saporito
Local musician, band leader, guitar instructor and songwriter, Marco Saporito will be teaming up with multi instrumentalist, Nate Bradac to perform several of the their own original songs. The duo will have a cool mix of acoustic, folk-inspired songs that are driven by tastefully unique guitar parts and sweet vocal harmonies. Playing together since 2000, they have crafted their original set of music over the years into something special.
