  Dan Johnson looks over the daunting task of unloading more than 300 Christmas trees, some weighing as much as 150 pounds, that arrived from all the way up in Pembine, Wisconsin, Wednesday in the empty former K Mart lot on Rand Road in Lake Zurich. The workers from the Paul Bunyan Tree Farm, located near the upper peninsula of Michigan, arrived early to unload their yearly truckload, which will take more than three hours. "We're here for the long haul 'til Christmas," said Johnson, one of four men in charge of delivering their green bounty from the north, for this year's Christmas season.   There are those times when you arrive at an assignment and happen upon a funny, candid moment that's just begging to be photographed. Last month while covering the 29th annual Norge Autumn Ski Jump in Fox River Grove, I found Lucas Nichols, 13, of Barrington Hills, reclining as he waited for his age group to jump in the junior tournament. The red helmet added that extra pop to the picture. Nichols, a Norge Ski Club member, has been active in the sport for the past four years.
