Northwestern women upset No. 18 DePaul in 2OT

Nia Coffey scored 23 points, grabbed 17 rebounds and blocked four shots to help Northwestern women beat No. 18 DePaul 97-91 in double overtime on Saturday night.

Maggie Lyon scored 22 points and hit two 3-pointers for Northwestern (5-0), moving her to seventh on the school's career list for 3-point field goals made with 132.

With Northwestern clinging to a 90-89 lead in the second overtime, Lauren Douglas grabbed an offensive rebound off a missed 3 by Lyon. After being fouled, Douglas hit a pair of free throws.

Northwestern got a stop on the other end, and a jumper from Ashley Deary made it 94-89 with 39 seconds left. DePaul (4-2) never threatened again.

Megan Podkowa scored 16 points, grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds and blocked three shots for DePaul.

The Wildcats overcame 27 turnovers by making 38 of 73 (52.1 percent) field goals and out-rebounding the Blue Demons 54-46.
