'Eat Your Art Out!' works on display at the Herrington in December

Following a fun "Eat Your Art Out!" gala event earlier this year, the Geneva Cultural Arts Commission is setting the stage for its second annual fundraiser on March 7.

The Herrington Inn & Spa will again host this exclusive event, designing a four-course dinner with wine pairings, inspired by a select collection of featured art. Sensory treats abound throughout the evening, from the first sip and bite to the last, as guests come together to support the arts commission creating diverse cultural arts experiences for the community.

Whet your palate with the second monthly preview of "Eat Your Art Out!" 2015 featured art as Len Bielefeldt's oil on canvas, "Ripples with Sunfish," went on display Dec. 1. Herrington has donated a prime lobby space, among the impressive existing art collection, to the Geneva Cultural Arts Commission for the display of EYAO! Featured Art pieces. Bielefeldt's work will be on display for the month of December for your viewing pleasure and will be sent home with a generous bidder as the gala evening culminates in a lively auction.

The Geneva Cultural Arts Commission extends heartfelt thanks to its talented and generous featured artists and looks forward to introducing them to you and to celebrating them with you.

Bielefeldt began his art studies at age 12 under the direction of Jack Bond, an accomplished Midwest artist. While living in California, he was greatly influenced by Gerrit Greve, a highly successful international artist. Through natural talent and many artistic influences, Bielefeldt has the unique capability of producing exquisite photo realistic work as well as fluid, impressionist and contemporary pieces. He has developed a national reputation and following for all his styles. In 1991, Bielefeldt painted his first portrait and commissioned portraits remain an important part of his body of work. Many of these portraits hang in noted private and public collections. He works in all genres, exploring and experimenting in all mediums and is deeply touched by his surroundings and his return to his Midwestern roots. In addition to producing his award winning work, Bielefeldt teaches art classes to students of all skill levels. To learn more, visit lenbielefeldt.com.
