Veterans sought for conservation corps:
Veterans are invited to the next meeting of the Volunteer Veterans Conservation Corps on Dec. 6, at the Volo Bog State Natural Area in Ingleside. The meeting from 9:30 a.m. to noon joins different generations from different conflicts in the common cause of protecting and enhancing the natural environment through various projects at Volo Bog and Moraine Hills State Park and McHenry Dam in McHenry. The organization is a cooperative effort of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, Friends of Volo Bog and Friends of Moraine Hills State Park with additional support provided by the Veterans Assistance Commission of McHenry County.
