What's new at the suburban malls

If you haven't been shopping in a while, here are new stores, restaurants and services you'll find at some suburban malls:

Geneva Commons - Free Wi-Fi in the mall's common areas; new stores include a Harry & David holiday store, Victoria's Secret PINK, and Color Me Mine (paint-your-own ceramics). Five stores will open today, starting with Gap at 4 p.m.

Woodfield - Opens at 6 p.m. today. New stores include Columbia sportswear, shoe store Ecco, teen clothing store Garage, yoga store lululemon athletica, Ricky B's Prime Burger House, The White Barn Candle Co., jewelry store Uno de 50, and makeup store 100% Pure. Shoppers who sign up at SimonRewards.com can accumulate points to earn exclusive rewards and prizes, including a new Mercedes-Benz.

Fashion Outlets of Chicago (Rosemont) - A DJ spins tunes at this new mall starting at 10 p.m. today.

Gurnee Mills - A new Crocs shoe store, expanded rue21 (kids clothing) and Icing (jewelry) stores, Red Mango frozen yogurt.

Oakbrook Center - Open 6 p.m. to midnight today. The mall will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday. New stores include Tory Burch shoes, Porsche Design, Athleta, Zara, The Container Store and the doll making store AvaStars. The Christkindlmarket Oakbrook also opens for the holiday season on Friday.

Yorktown Center - Most stores open by midnight. Select stores open earlier and mall will be accessible starting at 4 p.m. today. JCPenney opens at 5 p.m. and Carson Pirie Scott opens at 6 p.m. Von Maur will open at 9 a.m. Friday. Black Friday perks include $10 Yorktown gift cards for the first 100 shoppers to visit guest services at midnight and 5 a.m. There will also be $100 Yorktown gift card giveaways every half-hour from 6 to 10 a.m. A live broadcast by 93.9 FM will take place from 6 to 10 a.m. New stores include H&M, Kay Jewelers and Billy Goat Tavern.

Streets of Woodfield - Carson Pirie Scott is the only store open today when doors swing open at 6 p.m., while other shops opening at various times early Friday morning. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the shopping center's common area.

Randhurst - New stores include Famous Footwear, Massage Envy, women's clothing store Maurices, Naf Naf Grill, Nothing Bundt Cakes and Orangetheory Fitness.

Deer Park Town Center - Many stores open as early as 5 a.m., but the shopping center will be fully open at 8 a.m. Friday. The Gap is the only shop open today at 4 p.m. The center also features the seasonal Harry & David Gourmet Gifts store that recently opened. Dickens carolers will be roving the area between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Friday. Shoppers who spend more than $300 can show their proofs of purchase to receive a free ticket to see "Million Dollar Quartet." Those who spend more than $400 Friday will receive two tickets to that show. Shoppers can also register to win a $500 shopping spree and five others will each receive a $100 gift card. If shoppers are spotted wearing a Santa hat, they'll receive a gift card to a random retailer at the shopping center.

Westfield Fox Valley - Open from 6 p.m. to midnight today and from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday. New stores include American Eagle Outfitters, Buckle clothing, Francesca's Collections and teen clothing store Garage.
