Runners enjoy Long Grove Turkey Trot

The 6th Annual Long Grove Turkey Trot was held Thanksgiving morning in historic downtown Long Grove. Runners finished under the covered bridge and enjoyed live music, beer and hot cider.

Races included a 5K, an 8K run/walk and a Tiny Trot 100-meter dash. Custom medals were awarded to the top three male and female overall winners. The top three finishers in 12 age categories also received awards.

As part of the event, participants were encouraged to bring canned food items to benefit the Northern Illinois Food Bank.
