Every day of being alive, well is a gift

Listing everything I am thankful for would take up every page of this newspaper, so I will limit it to what I am most grateful for on my favorite holiday. I am grateful for every day that I am alive and well. As soon as I open my eyes, I say a silent prayer of thanks for being given one more day. Unlike my mother, and many others whose days have been cut short by terminal illnesses, I have been blessed to be able to watch my sons grow to adulthood. I consider that my greatest gift of all.

When I say I am thankful for days, I mean each and every day, even the difficult ones, for it is those that teach me the valuable lesson that every day is a gift no matter how it is spent. I wish all a blessed Thanksgiving and many more to enjoy.
