Learn how to plan reunions or retreats

Meet Chicago Northwest, the official destination management organization for Chicago Northwest communities, will host a free workshop for those planning family reunions and church retreats in the region.

The Reunion Planning Workshop will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Hilton Garden Inn Schaumburg, 1191 E. Woodfield Road in Schaumburg.

Workshop topics include tips on planning a reunion or retreat, scheduling an event, budget planning, selecting a venue and hotel, how to plan group outings, and activity and game suggestions.

The Hilton Garden Inn is offering their "Good Neighbor" rate, starting at $67, for attendees who wish to stay overnight.
