Run in Wauconda for charity
The 4th annual Wauconda Turkey Trot races will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday in downtown Wauconda. On-site registration begins at 7:30 a.m. at Bliss Wine & Gifts, 201 S. Main St. A 4-mile run around Bangs Lake and a 2-mile run/walk are planned. The start and finish lines are on Main Street at Mill Street. The entire course is spectator-friendly. Participation will cost $35 for the 4-mile run or $25 for the shorter run. Proceeds will benefit the Wauconda/Island Lake food pantry.
