A Ferguson, Missouri, police officer who shot and killed an unarmed, black 18-year-old in August will not be charged in the death, a grand jury determined yesterday. The announcement that white officer Darren Wilson would not be indicted almost immediately led to looting and riots that included setting several police cars and local businesses on fire. Naperville bar security to get more training

The Naperville City Council recently approved several new bar restrictions and an increase in training for bar security offered by the Restaurant Association of Naperville. Bars will also not be able to cut drink prices more than 50 percent of its original cost - all but eliminating dollar beer nights. Full story.

Teen critically injured in Gurnee crash

Weather likely factored into two crashes that happened near each other in Gurnee yesterday afternoon on Route 132 on the bridge above I-94, police said. Nine people were taken to nearby hospitals, including a critically injured 13-year-old boy. Full story.

Suburbs see slight snow accumulation

Gusting winds and small snow accumulations yesterday afternoon created some delays at airports and led to a smattering of crashes throughout the suburbs.
