Nominees for Palatine Chamber awards announced

The Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce has selected the nominations for their annual Key to Success Awards, which will be announced at the awards dinner on Dec. 3. Winners will be named in eight categories. Up for "Business of the Year" are Vicarious Productions, Stephens Automotive, J.P. Wood Martial Arts and Morkes Chocolates. Nominees for "Distinguished New Business" are SportClips Haircuts, The Exercise Coach, Areté Salon and Yumz Frozen Yogurt. "Business Leader of the Year" candidates are Jan Wood, of J.P. Wood Martial Arts; Melanie Santostefano, of Vicarious Productions; Jim Meier, of MeritCorp Group, LLC; and Bob Bauer, of Waddell & Reed. The event is at 5 p.m. at The Cotillion Banquets, 360 S. Creekside Drive, Palatine. Tickets are at palatinechamber.com.
