Doctor to donate turkeys to needy through Nov. 24

Ginsberg Chiropractic of Geneva will host its 20th annual "Doctor with a Heart" event in partnership with TriCity Family Services' Thanksgiving Adopt-a-Family program. From now through Monday, Nov. 24, Ginsberg Chiropractic will donate one, 12-pound turkey to the TriCity Family Services for every new patient that enters the office.

In addition to turkey donations, a $35 new patient fee will provide the initial examination, X-rays (if needed), and the doctor's report of findings. This is an opportunity to find out if your pain or problem can be helped by chiropractic care and at the same time you will be helping to make someone else's holiday more enjoyable.

As stated by Dr. Ginsberg, "The idea stems from the canned food drive which I have done in the past and it has been very successful. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and I could not imagine not having turkey and all the other great stuff that goes with it. Last year, there were 44 local families that needed our help. Our goal this year is to donate between 40 and 50 turkeys to local families. The turkeys will be distributed by TriCity Family Services.

Let's face it, many individuals have problems that could be helped by chiropractic and are doing nothing about them. At the same time there are many families that cannot afford to have a nice Thanksgiving. I really enjoy doing public events like this because everybody wins. Let's work together to make this a healthier happier community for everyone. Take a step to improve your health today and help your neighbor at the same time."

Ginsberg Chiropractic is open Monday through Friday afternoon from around 2:30 to 6 or 6:30 p.m. They also have morning hours on Monday and Wednesday. Call (630) 232-6400 to set up your appointment today.
