Freezing rain overnight, more rain and heavy winds Saturday
Drivers and pedestrians, beware.
Freezing rain is about to hit the suburbs.
And although a warm-up is expected Saturday, there is a 90 percent chance it will be accompanied by more rain, as well as renewed winds.
According to the National Weather Service, a freezing rain advisory is in effect from 11 tonight until 9 a.m. Saturday
Ice accumulations could reach one-tenth of an inch.
The forecast says rain is likely tonight, possibly mixed with freezing rain before 5 a.m., followed by ... more rain.
The temperature is expected to rise to around 34 degrees by 5 a.m.
The rain is expected to continue until 3 p.m., with a high near 47 and a south to southwest wind around 15 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 25 miles per hour.
