Holiday Wine Walk Nov. 22 in Barrington
The merchants in downtown Barrington will host a Holiday Wine Walk from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, to kick off the holiday shopping season by introducing shoppers and visitors to the unique shops and restaurants in Barrington.
More than 20 shops and restaurants are participating. The walk will offer free wine tastings and other tasty treats at each of the merchant stops. In addition, there will be wine tastings at The Annex, Vin Chicago, Vintage Wine & Spirits and Grassroots. Customers can begin the Holiday Wine Walk at any participating business by picking up a location map for the tastings.
The Holiday Wine Walk is an opportunity for shoppers and visitors to experience the stores and restaurants in downtown Barrington, the Shops on Lageschulte Street, Barrington Commons and on North Cook Street. These merchants look forward to highlighting their merchandise, unique gifts and specialty items on this fun day in the Village.
Plan to spend the day walking around town, tasting good wine, socializing with friends, finding that unique one of a kind gift, and then settling in for a wonderful dinner on one of the fine dining establishments in Barrington.
The participating stores and restaurants participating in the Holiday Wine Walk are:
• Village Center Merchants: Anderson's Candy Shop, Angelina, Barrington Flower Shop, Bravura Home & Gift Shop, Gene Ann's Yarns, Grassroots, Notice, Solisq, The Annex and Vin Chicago.
• Barrington Commons - Carol & Company, Fleur di Lis Salon and Jenny & Vera's Sweets and Savories.
• North Cook Street - OMO.
• Shops on Lageschulte Street: Norton's U.S.A. and The English Daisy.
The wines for Saturday's event are being provided by Heinen's Fine Foods, McGonigal's Pub, The Annex, Grassroots, Ciao Baby, Cooper's of Barrington, Tip Top Tap, Vin Chicago and Vintage Wine & Spirits.
