COD to host 13th annual Pathophysiology Panorama Dec. 3

College of DuPage will host its 13th annual Pathophysiology Panorama from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3, in the Health and Science Center Lobby, on the College's main campus, 425 Fawell Blvd. in Glen Ellyn.

This event is free and open to the public.

Students from the college's diagnostic medical imaging programs in radiography, nuclear medicine and sonography will display poster presentations and share their knowledge on a wide range of diseases. This year's program will highlight a variety of diseases and pathologies such as ankylosing spondylitis, cirrhosis of the liver, Crohn's Disease and osteogenesis imperfecta, as well as the effects of intravenous drug abuse, all of which have been detected using various imaging processes.

The diagnostic medical imaging - nuclear medicine (DMIN) and diagnostic medical imaging - radiography (DMIR) programs at College of DuPage are fully accredited, competency-based programs that prepare students to sit for appropriate certification exams such as those administered by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT). Students can also earn certificates in Cardiac Interventional Radiography, Computed Tomography, Mammography and Radiation Therapy.

In addition, the College offers an associate in applied science degree program in sonography as well as certificates in diagnostic medical imaging sonography (DMIS) and diagnostic medical imaging vascular sonography (DMIV).
