Naperville teen found dead in Pennsylvania college dorm room
WAYNESBURG, Pa. - Police have named a Naperville teen found dead in her dorm room at a private, Christian college in southwestern Pennsylvania and say her death doesn't "appear to be suspicious."
Waynesburg police Chief Rob Toth identified the student as 18-year-old Claribeth De La Cruz of Naperville.
The chief says school security found the body after they were asked to check on De La Cruz by someone who could not reach her. She was found in her room in Ray Hall just after 2 p.m. Sunday.
The school issued a statement saying officials are "deeply saddened" by the student's death, but that they've "been assured that there is no evidence of foul play."
The Greene County coroner hasn't ruled on the cause of death.
The school about 40 miles south of Pittsburgh has about 1,400 students.
