Thank you, Mr. President

Thank you, Mr. President

In Paul Carrozzo's letter on Nov. 15, he states about President Obama: "His failed economics policies ... and unpopular health care law ... were all rejected by the American people." Well that may be his opinion but the facts show otherwise.

As of mid-August this year, 7.3 million people have signed up and paid for Obamacare. That number is larger than the population of 38 different states. That does not seem to indicate that Obamacare has been rejected, quite the contrary it has been highly accepted, 7.3 million times.

And not only has it been accepted 7.3 million times it also has a high rating. To back that up a recent Gallup Poll taken Oct. 22 through Nov. 12 of this year, 32 percent rated it Excellent; 42 percent Good; and 20 percent Fair. Only 5 percent rated it Poor. Congress should have such high ratings.

Failed economics policies, what failed economics policies? Unemployment had reached a high of 10 percent in October 2009 and as of October 2014 it is down to 5.8 percent - a drop of 42 percent. The stock market hit a low of 7,063 in February, 2009 and now is up to 17,600 range, a 250 percent rise.

So his failed economics policies have created millions of jobs and increased the value of most pension and retirement funds for the working class.

All I can say is: Thank you, Mr. President.
