Jewelry fair to raise money for breast center

The Centegra Auxiliary will host a jewelry fair to raise money for Centegra Gavers Breast Center in Crystal Lake.

The jewelry fair will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, in the lower level lobby at Centegra Hospital-Woodstock, 3701 Doty Road.

In addition to jewelry, the fair will offer other accessories such as purses, belts and scarves. Everything will be just $5. Cash, checks and all major credit cards will be accepted. For Centegra associates, a payroll deduction option will also be available. The fair is open to the public.

In early 2014, the auxiliary boards of Centegra Hospital-McHenry and Centegra Hospital-Woodstock voted to join forces to create one new Centegra Auxiliary. By working together, the teams help support community health and wellness for the benefit of families, friends and neighbors who rely on Centegra Health System's quality and compassionate health care.

The Centegra Auxiliary is made up of volunteers who organize fundraising activities, manage resale and gift shops and provide creative support for Centegra programs. Their efforts and goodwill have furnished major spaces, bought surgical and emergency equipment and refurbished several critical care areas.

Anyone interested in joining the Centegra Auxiliary should refer to centegra.org for more information or call the auxiliary office at (815) 334-3119.
