Love Lights illuminate Elmhurst Hospital garden

The Elmhurst Memorial Hospital Foundation's annual Love Lights program recognizes a caregiver, colleague, volunteer, physician or special person in a meaningful way.

The Central Garden at Elmhurst Hospital's Main Campus will be lit brightly for the holiday season, with each light commemorating someone who touched a life or a loved one who has passed away.

Community members can dedicate a Love Light to honor a special person for a $20 donation. For a $30 donation, community members also will receive a commemorative Love Lights ornament.

A Love Lights Open House, featuring carolers and refreshments, will be from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, in the East Lobby of Elmhurst Hospital, 155 E. Brush Hill Road, Elmhurst. The trees in the Central Garden will be lit at 5 p.m.

The Love Lights celebration comes between the day and evening sessions of the EMH Foundation's Reindeer Route Housewalk. Tickets for the housewalk are available through the foundation or at the Love Lights Open House for the evening session of the Housewalk.

The deadline to purchase a Love Light is Monday, Dec. 8. For details, visit emhfoundation.org/foundation/events.cfm. Purchases also may be made by calling the foundation at (331) 221-0388.
