NIU Law starts The Chicago Initiative with information sessions and admission interview programs

As part of its ongoing commitment to prospective Chicago-based students, Northern Illinois University Law has spearheaded a new program, The Chicago Initiative, based at the NIU Alumni Association office, located at 33 N. LaSalle. The Chicago Initiative enables the law school to offer the convenience of its various admission programs in Chicago, as well as on its campus in DeKalb, Illinois.

The Chicago Initiative is designed for prospective law students who are currently going to college or working in the city. NIU Law's Director of Admissions conducts regularly scheduled Information Sessions for those candidates hoping to gather detailed information on NIU Law's curriculum, clinics, and career opportunities.

For prospective applicants who are seeking admission to NIU Law's Fall 2015 entering class, The Chicago Initiative also provides the opportunity to participate in the Admission Interview Program.

NIU Law believes that The Chicago Initiative will encourage more Chicago-based students to take a closer look at the law school. According to Sarah Rewerts Scarpelli, NIU Law's Director of Admissions and Financial Aid, "We have always enjoyed interest from students in the city, and we are confident that our consistent availability in the heart of Chicago's Loop will make it attractive for those that live and/or work here to learn more about the value proposition of the NIU Law experience."

The following dates/times have been scheduled for admission interviews at the NIU Chicago office for prospective applicants to the Fall 2015 entering class: Tuesday, Nov. 18; and Monday, Nov. 24.

To reserve a time or for more information, please contact the NIU Law Office of Admissions and Financial Aid at 815/753-8595 or send an email to lawadm@niu.edu.
