Music Notes: Wonder to revisit classic album at Chicago show
Canadian crooner
Burton Cummings, a singer-songwriter best known as the former frontman for the Guess Who, will play hits from throughout his career at a solo show in the suburbs. Cummings has one of the most distinctive voices in rock, one that can move from growl to croon in a second. His hits with the Guess Who include “American Woman,” “No Time” and “These Eyes.”

Local metal sounds
Two Chicago-area metal bands will take the stage this weekend in Lombard. Headlining band Pale Horseman, which hails from the South suburbs, delivers a sludgy, industrial-flavored brand of metal. The opener is stripped-down Chicago trio White House Burning.

Rock legend
Legendary singer-songwriter-musician Stevie Wonder will make a special stop in Chicago this weekend to revisit one of his most beloved albums, “Songs In the Key of Life.” The ambitious double-LP showed Wonder's versatility, covering a wide range of musical styles and addressing a number of themes, from faith to the innocence of childhood. It has been an influential record for countless artists in rock, soul and r&b. Fans shouldn't miss this chance to see Wonder perform some of his best songs.
