American Legion Post 75's annual Turkey Raffle returns to Geneva

The Fox River Geneva American Legion Post 75 will hold its annual Turkey Raffle on Saturday, Nov. 22 at the post home, Second and James streets, Geneva.

Doors open at 5 p.m. and the raffle starts as soon as there are enough people to spin the wheel. It will continue until prizes, turkeys and people are gone.

This annual event has grown into one of the most successful and fun raffle events in the Geneva area. Come out and experience the chance to win a gift certificate to fine dining, jewelry, landscaping services, beauty salons, shopping, and a few surprises, as well as turkeys being raffled off the entire evening. Enjoy complimentary hot dogs and chili; a small contribution is always appreciated. A cash bar will be open with mixed drinks, beer, wine and soft drinks.

The master of ceremonies, lovely assistant and "almost famous guest spinners" give the wheel a workout throughout the evening, with "Red, White and Blue" specials popping up that offer even more chances to win. Every spin produces a winner.

All proceeds go to local student scholarships and making the holidays brighter for veterans, especially for those that are hospitalized at this time of year, by providing gifts and much needed necessities.

Not only do you win, but veterans win - it's not just about the turkeys. For more information, call Dennis Enneking at (630) 802-2709.
