Man pleads guilty to Rosemont, Schiller park burglaries

A 30-year-old Schiller Park man pleaded guilty Thursday to stealing an iPad and a camera from a Rosemont hotel room on June 13, 2014.

In exchange for pleading guilty to residential burglary, Robin Wolves, who listed a Schiller Park motel as his address, was sentenced to eight years in prison by Cook County Judge Bridget Hughes.

Wolves also pleaded guilty to a burglarizing a car and three Schiller Park businesses - a restaurant, rental car agency and a now-closed bakery - on June 17, 2014, the same day of his arrest.

Video surveillance showed Wolves entering the Schiller Park businesses, said Cook County Assistant State's Attorney Susanne Groebner. Additionally, police found some of the stolen items in his hotel room, she said.

Hughes sentenced Wolves to seven years in prison on each of those charges. She ordered all the sentences be served concurrently.

Wolves, who received credit for 150 days in custody, must complete at least 50 percent of the eight-year sentence before he is eligible for parole.
