Medix moves HQ from Lombard to Chicago

Medix President and CEO Andrew Limouris announced today that Lombard-based Medix will add up to 150 new jobs in Chicago and relocate its headquarters to 222 South Riverside Plaza in the West Loop.

The nationwide company, which specializes in workforce solutions and recruiting skilled personnel, will move nearly 100 jobs from its current headquarters in Lombard and hire an additional 50 positions over the next two years. Medix expects its new Chicago headquarters to open in March 2015.

"Last year, we realized our headquarters needed to be held in the right city to scale our business," Limouris said. "After exploring various cities across the country for relocation, we recognized the abundant possibilities to create opportunity in our backyard."

Medix is the 28th company to move its headquarters to Chicago since 2011.

"Chicago is a city on the move with a great future ahead, and that is what Medix saw when the company decided to bypass a move to another state completely, to locate here in Chicago," Mayor Rahm Emanuel said.

By the end of 2016, Medix has projected its internal team in Illinois to grow because of the headquarters relocation. Medix will still keep an office in Lombard to continue to meet the needs of its suburban clients.
