Drop off Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes at Hosanna! Lutheran

Hosanna! Lutheran Church in St. Charles once again will be a regional drop-off site this year for Operation Christmas Child.

This ministry project of international Christian relief organization Samaritan's Purse (www.samaritanspurse.org) has collected and hand-delivered more than 100 million shoe box gifts to needy kids in over 130 countries since 1993. This ministry helps to spread the word about the hope and brings joy to millions of needy boys and girls throughout the world during the holiday season.

Shoe boxes filled with small gifts can be dropped off at Hosanna! starting Nov. 16 through Nov. 23. Drop-off hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturdays, and 8 a.m. to noon Sundays.

Gift selections to put in the shoe boxes include small toys, school supplies, hygiene items, hard candy and gum (double-bagged) and a special note of encouragement.

A suggested donation of $7 would also be appreciated to help cover the shipping cost.

For information, call the church office at (630) 584-6434, email Welcome@HosannaChurch.com or online at www.HosannaChurch.com. Hosanna! is located at 36W925 Red Gate Road (entrance just east of Randall Road) in St. Charles.
