Elk Grove High School students honor veterans

Local veterans were honored at Elk Grove High School on Tuesday morning as part of the school's inaugural Veterans Day breakfast.

Students served breakfast for the veterans and recognized their service through an all-school assembly.

Northwest Suburban High School District 214 recently changed its calendar to have students attend school on Veterans Day as a way to better educate students about the holiday rather than just have another day off.
