Democrats now eating a little humble pie

Joe Biden got it right when he whispered in the president's ear that the signing of the ACA was a "big ... deal." And President Obama got it right when he stated: "Make no mistake, my policies are on the ballot." And the electorate got it right when they rejected the several senators who voted for these unpopular policies and gave control of the Senate to the Republicans. Each of those senators individually could have killed the ACA that the majority of Americans resented.

I'm sure the pundits will have plenty of explanations for the Democrats' defeat, but I'm guessing that the passage of Obamacare without a single Republican vote was the beginning of the downward trajectory of an administration which promised transparency along with hope and change but spent the last four years ignoring the Republican alternatives written by the House only to be dead on arrival in Harry Reid's Senate. I hope that the next two years will finally bring true hope and change from the self-righteous arrogance we have all witnessed during the last six years.
