Prairie Singers concert Dec. 7 to offer "Happy Holiday Wishes to All"

A great afternoon of fun and holiday remembrances are yours to enjoy at Sun City Huntley's Prairie Singers winter holiday concert "Happy Holiday Wishes to All."

More than 70 residents of Sun City Huntley join together to produce the harmonious music of the Prairie Singers. The group has been a part of the entertainment activities of the Sun City community for more than 14 years. They give two concerts each year.

This winter concert is just another contribution to the great Sun City lifestyle that they wish to share with all their residents and the general public.

The music of this concert is full of good cheer interlaced with some great old holiday songs. You must be prepared to hum along with these great old holiday tunes like, "White Christmas," "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year," and "Merry Christmas to All." You will clap to the rhythm of a Hanukkah song "Celebration of Light" and will not be able to sit still with the African rhythm of "Sing Noel."

If you enjoy singing yourself, the intermission will bring you our Prairie Voices, an affiliated choral performance group of the Prairie Singers. They will sing their holiday song and then lead the audience in a singalong of several holiday songs.

The concert will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, at the Sun City Huntley Drendel Ballroom. This is a great family or couples, afternoon of entertainment.
