ESO to perform “America's Musical Treasures” Nov. 15-16

Andrew Grams will be returning on Nov. 15-16 to conduct the Elgin Symphony Orchestra's concert, "America's Musical Treasures."

This ESO concert will feature music from some of our nation's favorite composers, including Aaron Copland, Rodgers & Hammerstein and Leonard Bernstein.

Joining Maestro Grams and the ESO onstage will be pianist William Wolfram.

An audience favorite and graduate of the Julliard School and the Curtis Institute of Music, Andrew Grams is one of America's most promising and talented young conductors and has already appeared with many of the great orchestras of the world.

The 2014-15 season is his second as the music director of the ESO.

William Wolfram, a friend of Andrew Grams and also a Julliard graduate, will join the orchestra for Paul Schoenfield's "Parables for Piano and Orchestra."

The Elgin Symphony Orchestra experience is unmatched for a fun, relaxing, cultural experience. Patrons can enjoy a drink, time with friends and even shopping in the lobby of the Hemmens Cultural Center.

After Saturday night performances, the audience is invited to "Mingle with the Musicians" at the local restaurant, Elgin Public House.

From start to finish - the ESO brings world class, big city entertainment without the hassles of the big city.

The ESO's "America's Musical Treasures" will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, at the Hemmens Cultural Center, 45 Symphony Way in downtown Elgin.
