Barrington Area Community Foundation Announces Annual Grant Workshop 2015 Grant Total $175,000

The Barrington Area Community Foundation will hold its annual workshop to explain the grant process for 2015 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM, Wednesday, November 12, in the Zimmerman Room (Mezzanine level) of the Barrington Library, 505 N. Northwest Highway, Barrington. The 2015 grant total is estimated to be $175,000.

Charities are invited to send one or more representatives. Each charity will have an opportunity to explain briefly its mission and accomplishments. Charities are encouraged to bring publicity material for distribution to those present. Details about the grant application process and deadline for proposals will be provided at the workshop.

The BACF is the only foundation in the Barrington area whose grants are made to address unmet needs generally, not in a specific charitable area. Since the first grants in 2000, the Foundation has given out $1.1 million to more than 60 charities.
