'Hairspray Jr.' comes to Lake Zurich Middle School South Nov. 20-22

Three performances of "Hairspray, Jr." are set to take the stage Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 20-22, at Middle School South in Lake Zurich.

Approximately 100 students comprise the cast and crew in the stage musical, which is based on the film and smash-hit Broadway production.

Dates and times are Thursday, Nov. 20, and Friday, Nov. 21, at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:30); and Saturday, Nov. 22, at 2 p.m. (doors open at 1:30).

General seating tickets will be sold at the door on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost is $10 for adults and $8 for students/children. All performances are at the school, 435 W. Cuba Road.

The Lake Zurich Middle School South student production team includes Meredith Schiferl and Alyson Wisnionski as student directors; Abby Groebe, Gabby Dudek, Cora Meagher, Jessica Kroczak as dance captains; Gina Kirshenbaum as house manager; Daniel Howard and Cameron Mumbower as stage managers; Matt Miller and Patrick Thornton as tech managers; and Elana Kraversky is the graphic design/projection manager.

The Lake Zurich Middle School South adult production team includes: Jacqui Heinemann, director (drama teacher); Kelly Harper, musical director (music teacher); Kathy and Tony Mirabelli, choreographers; Jennifer Foreman, production assistant (sixth-grade teacher); Kim Warren, costumer (sixth-grade teacher); Brad Mundschenk, stage craft.
