Corrigan Moving debuts warehouse, office in Hanover Park

A moving company for businesses and homes has opened a 47,500-square-foot office and warehouse in Hanover Park.

Corrigan Moving Systems will host tours of the facility during an open house set for 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12.

Michigan-based Corrigan expanded to the Chicago area in 2006. After renting a property in Lombard for several years, Corrigan eyed Hanover Park for a new, company-owned building. Construction began in April at 4800 Gary Ave.

"After nearly a decade in the Chicago area, building and opening our own facility is a true testament to our investment in this community, and the next logical step as we look to further grow our business," President David Corrigan said in a news release. "We are very pleased with the final result, as this new space will increase our efficiencies, which, in turn, will help us to better serve our customers and ensure they have a positive moving experience."

The building contains 40,000 square feet of warehouse, 7,500 square feet of office space and a truck scale to weigh shipments.
