Textile recycling avaialble:

Not sure what to do with a shirt that is torn or a sock with a hole? Lindenhurst and the Solid Waste Agency of Lake County are offering residents the opportunity to recycle unwanted clothing and textiles. A recycling container is available on the east side of village hall in the parking lot, 2301 E. Sand Lake Road. Take advantage of this opportunity to clean out your closets, and keep unwanted materials out of landfills by repurposing them. Some acceptable items include shirts, socks, towels, blankets, table linens and more. Visit www.lindenhurstil.org/garbagerecycling to download a complete list of acceptable items. For more information call (847) 356-8252.
