Hope and change can begin anew

We have had and continue to have a dismal failure of leadership in this country. One after another of our institutions are showing a loss of direction; the national debt has gone insane; welfare costs are skyrocketing; hostility in the Middle East is looking worse than it has ever been in our time; our borders are open and immigration laws are ignored; disease is coming across that open border as well as being allowed to fly in from West Africa; and the middle class has seen a significant loss of income while big business profits have climbed dramatically.

We cannot change the presidency for two years but we can do our best to loosen up the logjam of legislation in the U.S. Senate by getting rid of Harry Reid as U.S. Senate Majority Leader. We can do our part by voting for Jim Oberweis for Illinois Senator. If Republicans gain a majority in the Senate, the problem with Harry Reid goes away and there will be some balance in the governance coming out of DC.

Please vote Tuesday, Nov. 4. This is where hope and change can begin anew.
