Stolman has skill, experience treasurer needs

I support David Stolman for Lake County treasurer as the best fit for the job. I have known David Stolman for many years. He is a capable attorney, and a dedicated public official having served on the Lake County Board for over 20 years and has served has both vice chairman and chairman.

He also did an amazing job as a co-chairman of the blue ribbon committee for the extension of Route 53 bringing diverse interest groups throughout the county together to formulate a proposal that these diverse interests could back to lay the foundation for the first meaningful step forward in 40 years.

David has worked on the county budgets for years and understands the finances of the county and has always been committed to transparency and fiscal responsibility. He certainly has had a key hand in the Triple A bond rating for Lake County, which is not something you see in many governments today.

I know David's opponent, too, and he has not had the depth of exposure and understanding of the operations of the county that David has honed over the last two decades.

David is pragmatic and smart, and I know that his unmatched knowledge of the county and its finances will serve the county well in the office of treasurer.

This office is not engaged in partisan policy issues and quite frankly I don't believe there is a Republican or Democratic way to run the treasurer's office. The office needs a good administrator and leader that understands the county and its finances and its relationship with all of the taxing bodies and their need to timely get their tax dollars.

I believe David Stolman is the man who can do an exemplary job in this office and he has earned your vote.
