Kaneland 302 joins in Educator of the Year competition

Kaneland Unit District 302 is pleased to announce that the following educators and support staff will represent the district in Kane County's 2015 Educator of the Year competition:

• Classroom Preschool Teacher: Darlyne Dwyer, Kaneland Blackberry Creek Elementary School

• Classroom Elementary Teacher: Jessica Dixon, Kaneland John Shields Elementary School

• Classroom Middle School Teacher: Sharon Marcellis, Harter Middle School

• Classroom High School Teacher: Bryan Kunstman, Kaneland High School

• School Administrator: Martne McCoy, Kaneland Blackberry Creek Elementary School

• Educational Service Personnel: Caryn Spitzzeri, Harter Middle School

To complete the nomination process, letters of support for these individuals from staff, parents, students and others in the community who have worked with these people in some way need to be gathered.

Send your letters by 3 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 18, as follows:

The Educator of the Year banquet will be Friday, May 1, 2015. at the Q Center, 1405 N. Fifth Ave. in St. Charles.

Tickets will be available after Friday, April 3, 2015, through the district office.
