Hoffman Estates offering flu shots

The Hoffman Estates Department of Health and Human Services will offer Quadrivalent vaccines to protect adults and children (must be 6 months old) against four strains of flu viruses. All child flu vaccines are preservative-free; some adult vaccines will have preservative. An adult flu clinic is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.-noon on Monday, Nov. 3, Triphahn Center, 1685 W. Higgins Road. A children's flu clinic is 3:30-6 p.m. Nov. 3 at Hoffman Estates Village Hall, 1900 Hassell Road. Nasal mist is also available for ages 2-18; parents may be vaccinated here, too. A family flu clinic will be held 4-6:30 p.m. Nov. 11 at Willow Recreation Center, 3600 Lexington Drive. Fees: $25 ($10 ages 6 months to 18 years). Cash, check, AllKids and Medicare Part B accepted.
