Dining events: Dell Rhea's named 'Delicious Destination'

Dell Rhea's Chicken Basket in Willowbrook recently earned the "Enjoy Illinois: Delicious Destination" award as being a beloved establishment in the state. Previously featured on "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives," the nostalgic 1940s roadhouse earned its reputation for its famous fried chicken, Buffalo wings, baked macaroni and cheese and salad bar.

Blues BBQ and Grill
A traditional Southern BBQ joint recently celebrated its grand opening in East Dundee. A creation by Buzz Doyle and Patrick Maggi, the restaurant's menu includes baby back ribs, brisket, pulled pork and chicken, as well as traditional cut fries and sides like sweet potato fries, fried okra, creamed succotash and collard greens. It's open from 11 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. seven days a week.

Gluten-free Greek
Greek Islands Restaurant recently expanded its gluten-free offerings. Among the options are cold octopus salad, roasted leg of lamb, Spartan chicken, fresh Mediterranean sea bass, broiled Norwegian salmon, grilled octopus and skewers of pork tenderloin shish kebab.
