The Auxiliary of NorthShore University HealthSystem at Highland Park Hospital Celebrates Success at Annual Meeting

On October 9, 2014 over 50 members, friends and supporters of The Auxiliary of NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore) at Highland Park Hospital gathered at Green Acres Country Club in Northbrook for the organization's annual meeting and luncheon. The event served as an opportunity to recognize and celebrate The Auxiliary's achievements, thank current Auxiliary members, and introduce potential members to learn more about the organization.

Guests enjoyed a morning of shopping at the Luncheon's gift boutique while enjoying passed appetizers and mimosas. The formal meeting commenced an inspiring video showing the impact funding from The Auxiliary has had on NorthShore Kellogg Cancer Center at Highland Park Hospital. Following the video, Sarah Adess, Jana Brok, and Diane Golin, co-chairs of The Auxiliary's signature fundraising event, Be Part of the CURE, proudly presented a check for $150,000 to Jesse Peterson Hall, President of NorthShore Highland Park Hospital and Matthew Adess, MD, Medical Director of NorthShore Kellogg Cancer Center at Highland Park Hospital. Funds raised at Be Part of the CURE will support clinical research efforts, educational opportunities for the collaborative nursing staff and initiatives to enhance the patient experience at NorthShore Kellogg Cancer Center.

The celebration continued as Jesse Peterson Hall thanked the Auxiliary for their activities on behalf of NorthShore Highland Park Hospital. Murray Ancell, Executive Director of NorthShore Foundation, presented Karen Braun, 2013-2014 Auxiliary President, with an award recognizing and thanking her for her leadership. Following her acceptance, Karen Braun introduced Diane Golin as the 2014-2015 Auxiliary President.
