Two weeks after historic Chicago stunt, Nik Wallena comes to St. Charles

ST. CHARLES, IL - World-renowned daredevil Nik Wallenda will join Christ Community Church weekend services on Nov. 15-16, just two weeks after tightrope walking 50 stories above Chicago.

A seventh-generation member of The Flying Wallendas family, Wallenda holds eight Guinness World Records for various acrobatic feats, including tightrope walking over Niagara Falls and the Grand Canyon. Like those feats, the walk over the Chicago River will be broadcast live; The Discovery Channel will air Skyscraper Live in more than 200 countries on Nov. 2.

In 2013, Wallenda released a memoir entitled "Balance: A Story of Faith, Family, and Life on the Line." In it, he shared about growing up a circus kid, and the pain and tragedy (including his great-grandfather's death on a tightrope) in his famous family's past.

The Christ Community interview will take place live during the regular weekend services at the St. Charles campus, located at the northwest corner of Randall Road and Bolcum Road in St. Charles, at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, and 9 and 11 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 16.

The interview will also be shown via livestream or video at Christ Community's Aurora (Blackberry Creek), Bartlett, and DeKalb campuses during their regular weekend services. There is no charge or ticket to attend.
